What is the Grant For?
Supporting Innovation and Economic Growth on the South Shore
At the South Shore Young Professionals (SSYP), our goal is to stimulate entrepreneurship and drive economic growth on the South Shore by providing emerging businesses with the support they need to succeed. Through our Small Business Grant Program, we aim to foster innovation, encourage new ideas, and contribute to the region’s economic development.
While Southeastern Massachusetts boasts a vibrant community of young professionals, the region has seen relatively few new businesses and startups. The SSYP Small Business Grant seeks to bridge this gap by offering financial assistance, mentorship, and resources to emerging entrepreneurs.
Since 2012, we have proudly supported the growth and success of businesses on the South Shore, thanks to the generous contributions of our sponsors and the dedication of SSYP members.

Grant Eligibility
- Applicant must be current SSYP member | JOIN HERE
- Both for-profit and nonprofit organizations
- Businesses located and/or operating on the South Shore
- Businesses in operation for no more than 7 years
